Hey, howdy, hey! It’s Maverick. I’ve been at the shelter since Easter. Yep, that’s right, Easter. In fact, I kind of brought myself to the shelter now that I think about it. I love playing fetch like, a lot. I was wandering around minding my own business when I heard tiny humans yelling and I saw a huge, loud “thing.” I don’t think it was a bird; birds don’t have spinning tops like this one did. A nyway, colorful, plastic balls were dropping by the hundreds and tiny humans were all over them. I had to get in on that! It was like Christmas for me and apparently, Easter for everyone else. There were weird shaped balls all over the place! The kids were shoving them into baskets by the handfuls while I scooped as many as I could into my mouth. That was such a fun day, the best day! Until, that is, I got caught by someone who walked me down the trail to the shelter. No, I was hopping happily down the bunny trail. I’ve been in a cage ever since. This may help you decide to adopt me; I’m called a lab mix, I’m only 37lbs, I’ve had two birthdays, I’m awesome, I love fetch, I get along wonderfully with everybody and I’m just a cool guy.
