Micki, checking in from SWAT. Here's my story (so far). I had a home and now I don't. I was sleeping on some nice people's porch but they couldn't keep me so they called SWAT. I got a good scrubby bath, some yummy chews and a shot (that part wasn't fun). Tomorrow, I get to go to Dr. Hammer's for a nap and then I can start looking for my new home. I am just a little bit timid until you get to  know me (because I've kind of been kicked around, I need to know you're going to be a hugger, not a kicker before I get too excited). I love everyone and everything; other dogs, cats, kids...you name it. I have never been allowed inside so we are working on some manners but look at me, the smartness just oozes out! I discovered chickens yesterday. I also discovered that if you chase them, they will run. It was all fun and games until my foster mom came out and caught me. She's not a kicker but wasn't exactly a hugger at the moment. I would like to not get into trouble any more so no chickens please. I'm a little over a year old and weigh about 30 lbs. That's as big as I'm going to get. They are calling me a "Shepherd mix" but mostly people just call me Good Dog. If you'd like to meet me, give SWAT a call. Waiting, waiting, waiting!
