Meet Marci and Maybelle. They are tiny, voiceless victims that were left to die in an abandoned home. Other dogs in the home had already passed away leaving these two on their own. Luckily their tiny barks were heard because if they hadn't, they would both be dead. We swooped in and took these girls and brought them to safety. They were very afraid of us. It took many tosses of the lea sh before we finally grabbed them. Once we got them, we discovered the hundreds upon hundreds of fleas covering their tiny bodies. What little hair they did have was matted to their skin. We bathed them, cut away the mats and gave them proper medication to help them feel better. Today they are flea free, happy and thriving. They are a little naked at the moment, but their hair will grow back. Marci dances around and loves to play and cuddle with us. Maybelle is a little more standoffish, but she too loves the snuggles we give her. They both melt in our arms. These two little, less than 10lbs, Shih Tzus have a bright future and we couldn't be happier with the progress they've made.
