I'm six months old and have seen more than any six month old pup should. I'm Magic. At a young age, my brother, sister and I were dumped out by a bunch of dumpsters. We were forced to find food on our own and almost starved trying. We were eventually noticed by some people who began throwing food out for us. The trust we had for humans quickly dwindled after being dumped so we kept our distance. Weeks went by before we started crawling closer to the humans. That was the first  and, what we thought at the time, the last time we would be touched. They nabbed sister first and then came back for me and my brother. We were scared out of our minds. We didn't want to be touched or handled in anyway...I just wanted to crawl into a hole and hide. We were taken to SWAT where they bathed us and picked MANY ticks off of each of us. They tried to feed us and love on us, but we didn't want anything to do with them. We were then taken to a home to stay for the night. It didn't last long. All three of us became very sick and were taken to the "vet." My brother, Mo, went to sleep and never woke up again. That left just me and sister, Molly. We were hanging in there, until we weren't. Molly also went to sleep and I never saw her after that. I spent the rest of my "vet stay" alone with many people tending to me. I almost went to the light, but quickly stopped myself. I decided I had too much to live for. There's a reason I survived. Many weeks later, I am happy and healthy, I trust the humans around here completely, I am learning how to be a puppy again and most importantly, I am learning what it's like to be loved. I've never felt that before. I am also picking up on manners that all dogs need to know, like not to potty in the house (big no no...I have never done it), I am learning what toys are appropriate to chew on (I am still a puppy), I love to play and sleep with the other dogs, I'm learning and excelling at "sit" and I even like the cat. If you're looking for a survivor, rescue pup like me, let me know. I am ready to find out what it's like to be apart of a real family.
