Remember seeing me in previous posts? I'm Yuletide, but you can just call me Yule. Not Ya'll, it's Yule. I'm a (ready?) Miniature Great Dane. Ha, your mind has been blown, right? I have that effect on people. Really, I think there's some hound in me somewhere, but who really knows. I have the features of a Dane, just not the size. I couldn't get away with calling myself a Teacup Dane so Miniature it is. I came to SWAT a week before Christmas. I had little to no hair on my bo dy, open sores, infections...you name it, I had it. Over a month later, here I am, ready for adoption. I'm around 60lbs and I don't have much growing left to do since I'm a year old. I'm neutered, up to date on shots, heart worm negative, I have hair and I'm infection free. Now, on to the fun stuff. I came to SWAT knowing NOTHING; zip, zero, zilch. Now I know how to sit, I walk well on a leash and I'm housebroken. I know how to open doors too. It's a game, really. I use my paw to push the lever down and viola, the door opens for me.....and humans come running, especially when I open the front door. I also like to cruise the counter tops to see what's for lunch. I am learning that we're not supposed to do that. I don't know why. I also seem to have selective hearing, but who doesn't? Cats are the worst and I don't hear humans complain about them. I do know how to be nice to the cat and I love to rough house with the other dogs, especially Zigler since he's my size. A big, playful dog like me needs another big, playful pup in my next home. I love to play and RUN. I'm pretty fast. Sometimes I run so fast I can't put on the brakes in time to stop.
