Meet the little family who came to us on August 30th. Rue and babies showed up in someone's yard in rural Mayes Co and were in danger of being attacked by dogs. We found a foster (thank you Amber and Isaac) and the rest is history. They are now ready to find families of their own. Each kitten is just as feisty as the next and mama Rue is a sweet, loving girl. The kittens enjoy helping with chores such as sweeping and cleaning the litter box. You see Rigby? He's the biggest helper of them all. He tackles the broom and saves everyone from being swept into the dust pan. He also waits until the litter box scoop is full and leaving the box before he whacks it with his foot, knocking everything that was in it to the floor. Little Rae is the smallest of them all. She gives great "high fives" if you hold out your hand. Ralphy is the great warrior against shoe laces. They cannot be tied in his presence. Raider and Raisen kind of sit back and watch their siblings and, if they could, roll their eyes at them. And that leaves Rue. Rue is a great mom to these little squirts. She is great with everyone and that includes other cats. She's not the biggest fan of dogs and we think that has to do with her babies being present. Other than that, she's wonderful. Everyone is eating well and using the litter box like champs. The babies are too young to be spayed or neutered, however, they are ready to go home to approved applicants. When they hit four months of age, we will send out a vetting voucher through the email that applicants provide on their application. Each adoption fee is only $42 and that will cover the spay/neuter, shots and wellness check. If you're interested in applying for one or two (can't have enough kittens), please fill out the adoption app here: https://savingwhiskersandtails.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4138
